Jeremy Thom earned his Bachelor of Arts from UBC in 1996, and his Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 1999. After his call to the bar in 2000, Jeremy practiced as an associate lawyer for 4 years at the largest firm in the country doing complex corporate commercial litigation. Jeremy then spent the next 11 years at ICBC practicing insurance defence law. Before he left, he was one of ICBC’s senior litigators. His time at ICBC has given him a thorough and intimate knowledge of ICBC’s policies, procedures, strategies, tactics, tendencies, and people. He now uses all of his knowledge and experience to the benefit of people who have been injured in accidents.
Jeremy has spent many months of his life in trials before the Supreme Court of British Columbia. At ICBC, he was called upon several times to attend trials as a mentor to junior lawyers. While he believes that the vast majority of files can be settled fairly without going to trial, he is prepared and equipped to do so whenever necessary.
He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the BC Trial Lawyers’ Association.
